Designer Todd Snyder has collaborated with iconic athletic brand Champion, founded in Rochester, New York in 1919, to launch a men’s sportswear line.
The collection is inspired by archival Champion pieces, the gear seen in turn of the century boxing clubs, gyms, athletic fields and vintage photos from the New York Athletic Club.
Snyder scoured through Champion’s vast archive of sales books and vintage samples to select the brand’s most iconic cuts and fabrics that would seamlessly meld with Snyder’s love of classic American tailoring.
“Champion has always symbolized quality and American style,” Snyder says. “I love the idea of mixing tailoring with their 1950’s gym issued items”.
