The New Woman on the Go
JOOP! Womenswear Trend Report Fall/Winter 2016/17
JOOP! launches “The New Woman on the Go” collection in Fall/Winter 2016/17, for the look that combines office and after work. The JOOP! woman has her own idea about fashion. She places great value on quality and favours modern styles that accompany her throughout the day and can always be combined to create a new look.
The overall look and silhouette presented in the coming season is casual chic with sporty-elegant details. With the combination of fitted tailoring and elements that fall casually the minimalist look is sometimes broken down and given a feminine interpretation.
Tapered fits and sophisticated details, like embossed leather undercollars, give the blazer a modern look, which in combination with straight cut pleat-front trousers creates an overall look of casual elegance and enables a styling diversity – from office chic to off-duty.
Within the materiality, comfort is the top priority in all product groups. Soft, flowing cotton qualities, cashmere blends and finest silk provide pleasurable wearing comfort for blouses and knits. The use of stretch qualities also provides the greatest comfort and wearing pleasure for trousers and dresses. In this season, a special fashion piece is an overall made of shot silk in midnight blue – it radiates modern sophistication and gives its wearer an aura of urban chic.
Quilted outerwear and woolly coats inspire the wintery statement and create a luxurious and exciting look with elegant leather and metal details. A down overcoat patched with wool and nylon becomes the highlight of the season: The material mix unites innovative functionality with timeless elegance. The classical quilted look and the two-way zipper round off the classical appeal – a perfect symbiosis of feminine elegance and warmth against the cold.
Leather gains in significance in the new collection: A clean biker jacket in soft lamb nappa worn with the perfectly fitting stretch leather trousers are the ‘it’ pieces, which can even be worn beyond the season. In combination with the XL poncho in finest quality wool, a look is created that emphasises casual cosiness with a cool and luxurious statement.
At JOOP!, the fashion of the next Fall/Winter 2016/17 season is not a question, it’s a statement. This becomes clear when you look at the colours that determine the collection: The focus here is on navy, grey, beige and black. Nude and wine are used to set colourful accents and create the necessary contrast.
The New Man on the Go
JOOP! Menswear Trend Report Fall/Winter 2016/17
JOOP! launches “The New Man on the Go” collection in Fall/Winter 2016/17, for the look that combines office and after work. The JOOP! man has his own idea about fashion. He places great value on quality and favours clothing that accompanies him throughout the day and can be combined in a variety of different ways.
The overall look and silhouette presented in the coming season is linear and relaxed. Slim and extra-slim fits define the basic shapes of the new collection. Modern tailoring presents a convincing style with the interplay of figure-hugging fits in combination with more voluminous elements, which break down the clean look and reinterpret it. The narrow waist gives suits and sports jackets a new and modern look, while the lapels have more volume.
Natural and hi-tech fabrics are blended to provide a materiality and performance of functionality and design. Comfort is top priority in all product groups. Soft, lightweight wool qualities, cashmere and elastane blends provide pleasurable wearing comfort. Suits in ultralight flannels make a wintery statement.
Three ply fabrics for sports jackets prevent creasing and make this article of clothing an attractive all-rounder for work, leisure and travel. Three-dimensional products on wool, tumbled wool mixes and structures also give the sports jackets an appropriately exciting touch. In the coat segment, the focus is on double-breasted and paletot styles with contrasting details and removable panels. In this season the parka is reinterpreted: A modern, urban look is created with new proportions in the length, down padding and refined details like nylon panels.
Leather is characterised by clean biker models in soft lamb nappa, which are a good choice for the transition to the cold weather period. Their inside collars of lambskin and quilted designs give them added sophistication.
Outerwear gains new momentum: The focus is on richly detailed jackets with fake velour, undercollars, clasp details and zipper elements. Material mix and patched quilted designs upgrade the classical quilted look to a new level.
A real innovation at JOOP! is the men’s poncho. Casually styled to sports jackets or coats, this fashion piece is the absolute eye-catcher of the season and embodies relaxed elegance.
Grey and navy in light to dark shades are the basic colours of the collection. Soft camel, dark green and Bordeaux are used to set colourful accents and create the necessary contrast. Blackwatch plaids can be found throughout the various product groups. Targeted contrasts are generated with dotted and striped patterns and jacquards, especially for shirts.
