By making vintage bags with various vintage items from many different eras found in flea markets in Paris, London, and New York, she builds totally new creation by combining old pieces.

She prefers to be called a vintage connector, and she constructs vintage bags with new stories by connecting vintage item scattered in different eras and different places. Each of her bags has its own name which embraces cultural and artistic sense of hers such as lyrics and phrases in books from her favorites.

About Dylan Ryu

Degree in fashion, Dylan Ryu designed for many established fashion brands such as Renoma, Club Monaco, Thursday Island and many more. With numerous backgrounds in fashion she moved to New York and took on a various role, such as a fashion design consultant, Marie Claire magazine's feature editor and a jewelry buyer for Seomi & Tuus gallery. In 2005 Dylan Ryu started working with vintage bags under the name of "History by Dylan".

Unique vintage bags charmed with vintage findings she discovers through trips around Europe's flea markets and antique auctions, Dylan transforms vintage ornaments to create new additions of her collection. Each of her bags has an individual name companied with a 'History letter', which informs the source and the year of the vintage materials.

Her work was exhibited in Seoul, Tokyo, and Paris. And now distributed in renowned select shops in Hong Kong, Singapore, Jakarta, Taiwan, Seoul, Japan and Paris.
