BE-YALA is a fashion brand that combines traditional fabrics from Africa with the latest street chique and prêt-à-porter couture from the international metropolises. We produce under absolutely fair conditions. We pay the seamstresses good wages and enable them to be successful with the company. -BE-YALA chooses and buys the fabric on site. Local products with a high “artisanal” value are preferred. It is very important to me to offer my customers excellent quality.
It is my dream to start a business in my home country and support the local trade and thus contribute to development and give something back to my country. -BE-YALA will be distributed via the online platform and will be available for purchase at a later date in a network of selected stores (initially in Zurich).

I was born in Cameroon and grew up in Switzerland. My dream is to merge my two living environments and cultures. My passion is fashion. I am drawn to both worlds and I want to reflect them in my creations and models. For me it is modern and contemporary to merge the different styles and not to tell them apart. I don't want to create ethno-kitsch, but contemporary street wear. I wish to create a sustainable project in Cameroon that offers working women, seamstresses fair conditions and good development prospects. BE-YALA combines fashion with a unique development project.
