VIVETTA is an Italian contemporary brand established in 2009 by fashion designer Vivetta Ponti.
The brand depicts a delicate, fun, light and at the same time assertive femininity that is expressed by the designers love for dolls, antiques, fifties furniture and sixties and seventies tapestry.
These nostalgia elements combine with contemporary silhouettes and bon-ton patterns contrasting with lines that are more clean, enriched by unexpected details, surreal elements that aren’t usually considered as feminine, such as ‘the profiles of faces’ and ‘hands collar’ in the precious embroideries decorating the creations by VIVETTA, a leitmotive of collections by the brand.
HISTORY
VIVETTA was created in 2009 by designer Vivetta Ponti. She launched her first collection after winning the “Parisian Fresh Lounge” competition at the renowned Who’s Next & Première Classe trade show in Paris. VIVETTA’s rise to fame has been phenomenal since, and it is now one of the most sought after labels. VIVETTA’s designs are 100% Made in Italy for both fabric sourcing and production.
DESIGNER PROFILE
Vivetta Ponti currently lives and works between Milan and Assisi (Umbria) with her beloved Siamese cats. She also acts as Art Director and Set Designer for Virgilio Villoresi, Italy’s most influential experimental animation director.
