At Tanner Goods, we strive to create modern products that respect the past. Our philosophy of Worth Holding Onto -- the idea that quality, longevity and value are all interdependent -- is an approach that extends to everything we do and make. We try to think before we act. We choose carefully, from the materials we use and the suppliers we select, to the people we hire and the partners we join. It all traces back to those core elements for us: quality, longevity and worth.
Process is the soul of our work. We love having the ability to take ideas from inspiration to design to fabrication, and do it all Under One Roof. Our small team of designers and craftspeople work in unison to carefully consider an item’s intended use, create wear test samples, then put it to the ultimate test: we use it ourselves. We put things through the ringer. And we do this long before we introduce it to the public, allowing us to personally ensure each item’s ability to work well and age beautifully over time. We source premium raw materials for every item we make, and from close to home whenever possible. Our commitment to the best quality and most durable product at a fair price is paramount, and we strive to create items that live up to both our high standards and your high expectations. Our team produces by hand, blending classic techniques with modern mechanics, with a little of our own homegrown machine ingenuity to achieve the best possible treatment within each step of production.
Our workshop crew is small by design. Staying focused on what we do best allows us to keep a close eye on every step of production and lets each of us concentrate on our areas of expertise. Among us you'll find varied backgrounds in industrial design, architecture, carpentry, metalworking, apparel design, and graphic design. These folks like working with our hands, be it within the walls at Tanner Goods or outside pursuing their own ventures.
