Shellys London returns this spring/summer 16 with a collection that takes inspiration from their rich and iconic heritage.
Founded in 1945, the brand quickly became the go-to destination for cutting edge footwear, with its famous stores emerging as a haven for London’s fashion scene. Throughout the 70s and 80s, Shellys London became synonymous with British subcultural style, introducing Creeper, Platform and Winklepicker silhouettes.
Collaborations with designers such as John Galliano, Vivienne Westwood and Jean Paul Gaultier cemented the brand’s positioning as one of the most pioneering British footwear brands. Today, new silhouettes join the Shellys London family, taking inspiration from their design archives to rework retro classics. 70s inspired patchwork denim and stacked platforms act as key stories, whilst 90s feel dramatic lace-ups and flatforms take centre stage in the SS16 collection.
This collection aims to inspire an ever-evolving style conscious audience, reintroducing Shellys London to the high street.
