It began when we were flicking through all that was left of one man’s life, Johann Schneider.
Everything that remained was to be found in one well-used suitcase and comprised of really
only one thing; photographs.
The man, Jenny’s great grandfather, had started a tradition in her family of working in the textiles industry and was by trade a bespoke menswear tailor in the Bavarian town of Amberg.
However, these photographs were not of tailor’s dummies, cloth or his atelier. This precise tailor led another life in these images, one that shows him as rather a tiny and insignificant figure gripping to the bitterly cold and precariously jagged sheer faces of the Alps.
The dichotomy between the two facets of her great grandfather’s personality is what drives the creative spirit behind the menswear line that Jenny creatively directs.
In its simplest form we describe it as rugged elegance.
