Shoes as a way of life. binné – Designed in Hamburg introduces a new vocabulary of design
Clothes make the woman, and Binné-Brogues represent the ideals of femininity – charming, chic and indispensible, with a sense of humor.
“We pursue happiness, do our own thing and hope to make a mark on the world. We want to feel safe and secure enough to enjoy every step along the way,” says Nina Binné, and her new line of shoes fits the bill.
The trademark
The fancy ornamentation with the openwork so characteristic of brogues are the distinctive trademark of Binné – Designed in Hamburg. The tips of these brogues are decorated with unusual patterns, such as stars, hearts, peace signs and skulls. The purple sole is another unique feature. The violet leather sole makes itself visible with every step you take. The color purple, a symbol of inspiration, passion, magic and art, takes on special meaning.
A reliable partner
The young designer from Hamburg says she always considered Oxford brogues to be the perfect shoe. “Flat brogues give me the freedom to go anywhere I want. I can take big steps or small ones, I can run in them – whatever my heart desires. They are a reliable partner. They give me a sense of security like no other article of clothing. Shoes are indispensible, and eccentric shoes are a little revolutionary,” she says. An Oxford full-brogue of sand-colored suede combined with red patent leather and a star made of decorative openwork on the winged tip. That describes one of the Binné models – simple and elegant yet at the same time playful – and above all, unique.
Timeless classics
It all started in Hollywood. In the 1930s, actors and dancers, like Fred Astaire, popularized brogues. Eighty years later, they are conquering the world of ladies’ fashion. Brogues are feminine now, and the Binné designs make them an indispensible addition to any woman’s wardrobe. Elegant, playful, eccentric, comfortable, feminine, sometimes reserved, sometimes showy, but always understated, never garish. Binné Brogues leave a footprint, and not only in the life of the woman who wears them.
Origin
Portugal is a small country that plays a big role in the world of shoemaking. It was there that Nina Binné acquired the necessary expertise, the passion and the insight to create shoes made of high-quality leather that perfectly complement women’s dainty feet.
Shoes that leave a footprint
A dream comes true. The young designer has been searching for the perfect, traditional Oxford brogues since she was 16 years old – but she never found them. Finally, in late 2011, she decided to make a sketch of the perfect shoes as she imagined them. Then she wanted to take the next step – to smell the leather, see the natural colors and above all, feel how the shoe fit her foot. One year after she first put her (colored) pencil to paper, a unique, new brand was born: Binné – Designed in Hamburg, and now on it’s way to conquering the world, one step at a time!
Say hello to a shoe collection that lets you plant both feet firmly in the clouds. Many of the manufacturing steps are carried out by hand. The combination of finest leathers, perfectly shaped heels, excellent workmanship, a new outlook on life – all of these factors are embodied in the new label, Binné – Designed in Hamburg. Shoes that make an impression – and leave a footprint.
