PLAKINGER is a fashion label whose collections are made using a vibrant mix of high-quality materials. Galina Plakinger and Svetlana Ziggel founded PLAKINGER in order to realize their idea of modern and unpretentiously luxurious fashion. All clothes are produced in limited quantities only.
Contrasting material mixes and textures characterize the PLAKINGER collections. Silhouettes, cuts and details bring together feminine classics and elements of traditional men tailoring.
The pantsuit is the starting point of every PLAKINGER collection. Strong, menswear inspired, with timeless details and confident. The perfectly tailored blazer is the all-time master piece of our collections that we complement with softening feminine silhouettes to create the essential PLAKINGER look.
The sense of Brazil: its vividity and pace of life, its wildness and the savageness of nature, its diversity and blend of cultures, that was our inspiration for the PLAKINGER Spring Summer 2016 collection. Beyond playing with the masculine vs. the feminine, we have moved towards a more liberated and sensual approach of female clothing. As always we started with a classic pantsuit, tailored from a tropical green wool and silk blend which epitomizes urbane and equally untamed styles. The heart of our collection is the dress, the essence of feminine wear, interpreted wild and soft. Evidently birds have been an inspiration, either by the texture mixes and patterns, the bright and expressively natural color palette, or expressed in the embellishments. For the first time, our collection is accessorized with jewelry, hand-painted flamingo necklaces and bracelets as well as gold plated cuffs.
Did Marie Antoinette ever consider wearing a pantsuit? It could definitely have been the strong and contemporary cut, all red with two-tone uniform lapels. Or would she rather have picked a structured double-breasted cut, head-to-toe in an optimistic pastel blue with a hidden hint of red piping? Maybe she would have chosen the structured cut, all black pantsuit with the golden silk jacquard details. Romantic and strong uniform elements demonstrate stability and self-confidence in times of tension and insecurity and have been key elements that have inspired our PLAKINGER Autumn Winter 2015 collection.
Spring Summer 2015 has been crafted around the tuxedo blazer, the formal evening menswear, with its classic elegance and extroverted omnipresence. The PLAKINGER interpretation features a feminine cut made from a shiny linen and silk blend to define our vision of the modern elegant, sensual and powerful woman, who effortlessly mixes feminine and masculine.
The sailorman esthetics, with its romantic, vivid, dynamic and strong elements was our inspiration for the Spring Summer 2015 season.
The Autumn-Winter 2014/2015 collection consists of 16 looks and 24 pieces and
plays with the stereotype contrasts of contemporary fashion – modern feminine silhouettes and the strength of traditional men tailoring, clear classic cuts and luxuriously romantic fabrics, daytime easiness and evening glamour.
The collection is a story of timeless and menswear inspired looks like the golden
pinstriped costume or the frock-coat merged with modern feminine elements.
The tenderness of super soft mohair-blend, opulent bouclé-knit or fluent silk organza, and the vibrant color palette from vivid burgundy reds, through deep
blues to crisp winter white create the volume of this collection.
The Spring-Summer 2014 collection consists of 15 looks and 22 pieces and plays with masculine elements of bespoke tailoring balanced by feminine silhouettes and subtle transparency.
It invites you to daydream in between the reality of structured cuts and the romantic twilight of playful, flared silhouettes as well as colors of lightness and delight.
The collection features luxurious fabrics such as plaited tweed, broderie anglaise or silk in an exuberant cocoon shaped coat, a fluted hem skirt, cocktail shorts, or strong, double-breasted garments.
