Our Story
At La Mort Clothing, we produce one of the finest collections of contemporary graphic apparel currently available, and it is our potent style of death-laced design and urban sensibility that has laid the foundation for our unique, ultra-hip streetwear brand.
Formed by London-based graphic artists Faye Winslade and David Underwood, La Mort Clothing has developed from a love of funereal symbolism and a belief in the strength of traditional iconography.
“For us, the real excitement in our work comes from the fact that Faye and I, have different artistic backgrounds and often approach the same design from opposite directions. We’ll tear up each other’s work and redraw ideas in our pursuit of pure design. I think our passion is communicated by each new drawing we produce and, to me, this is the foundation of our graphic style”
David Underwood
The powerful, recognisable style of our artists has evolved to include elements of devotional and decorative art and our large, poster-style graphics are at the center of our brand identity.
“La Mort has been a constantly evolving artistic process. We did not start out with the intention of forming a fashion label; it just grew from other projects that we were involved with. Since David and I met at art school, we always seemed to be working towards something together. Now it’s here’

We are one of the few brands to produce all our designs by hand.
