Inspiration
Ana Sekularac creations are very personal and emerge from whit in herself in a state of flow- they are like tools to express who she is. For Ana creating is a part of her being. She therefore creates from internal need, constantly growing as a person and artist.
Inspiration comes from her surroundings, can be a sound that she lately translate into a shape- silhouette, a way a certain person move, or colour of the fabric...
It can be anything that put together create the story that she is ready to tell through her creations-collections.
The most important thing for her is woman itself, not the design she is wearing. If someone notice Ana's design rather then woman wearing it, it means she has not done the job right. Her creations should serve the woman not the opposite.
For Pre-Fall 2016 collection inspiration came from origami, water, movement, comfort, woman's body and sexuality. The fabric plays a very important role for Ana's creations..and usually is hand made using the finest quality threads, wool, silk and cotton..which is then shaped into the mannequin for perfect silhouette.
In this collection she used finest ottoman silk, silk organza, silk chiffon, jersey and cotton.
Ana plays with the fabric and its shapes and manages to create cheerful design with silk and cotton..Her idea is that every woman feels happy and satisfied in her creations, which is the main goal of this collection and all previous ones.
